GUTTER and DOWNSPOUTS

Gutters and Downspouts

The function of gutters and downspouts is to move water running off from your roof away from your home. Worn out or poorly installed gutters may leak, allowing water to pool around your home. This may cause erosion and flooding in your basement. Damage to your home’s foundation, driveway, and landscaping can be costly to address. Leaking gutters can also cause fascia boards and soffit to rot, resulting in expensive and avoidable carpentry work. A properly installed and maintained guttering system can save you from headaches and save you money.

Material Description

At Mark DeDeo Roofing, LLC, we use aluminum seamless gutters. Using seamless gutters reduces the number of joints or seams, which is where most leaks occur. Aluminum is a versatile and durable product, available in a variety of colors to complement your home.

We install both the standard 5” and oversized 6” gutters. The larger 6” gutters are recommended for roofs with long, large slopes that can create excessive run-off. The 6” gutters can also be used as an architectural accent. Hidden hangers and custom miters create a clean, balanced gutter system.

Mark will work with you to ensure that you have the most efficient and attractive gutter and downspout configuration to meet your needs. Sometimes, adding or moving a downspout will alleviate a chronic problem.

Topping your system with screens or a gutter guard system helps to reduce the necessary maintenance required to ensure that your gutters are working properly.

Regular seasonal maintenance is important. Snows and ice damming can loosen gutters. Seeds and pollen in the spring and leaves in the fall can clog gutters and downspouts. We also offer routine gutter cleaning services.
